Wild Horse Grill and Steakhouse in Clayton

The environment was cozy and welcoming, the service wasn’t so nice. We were passing through on a Sunday and it felt like a few locals were joining us in the restaurant. Our waitress was a little abrasive and rushed with us, but was laughing with other tables. The food was delicious, exceeding my expectations. My husband said his dish, however, was good but was cold, as if the meat was made the day before and just heated up. Overall, a good, quiet place to stop.

Awesome place, would 100% recomend! The service was great and our waitress (dispite being the only one waiting tables a the time) was super nice. On top of that the food was absolutely amazing and priced well.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. Horrible refused to take my card saying my ID didn’t match wouldn’t let me have our food that I had waited on for longer because she screwed the order up. When I asked for an owner or manager I was told no and go back where I came from!! Never again and I suggest you don’t either. Couldn’t tell you about the food she refused to give it to me. Also side note I had a hippie long hair moment in my DL and short hair now. She said it wasn’t me even showed my college ID she said no.

Came through town, saw the place had several cars around it at noon, usually a good sign. One waitress. Place was about half full. My husband ordered the hamburger steak special, meat was not tender .I ordered chicken breast with fries. Waited 45 min. Fries were hot. His baked potato was hot. The ''chicken breasts" were pressed formed patties for $10.99. I couldn't eat them. Trip delayed and food a disappointment. Won't be stopping here again.

The food was GREAT. Had a Bacon Cheese Burger w/ fries. Both came in a reasonable time and were still hot. Not a fancy place but service was good. Good restaurant for being in the middle of no where. Price was very reasonable. Would eat their again!

Lady serving us was nice. That's about it. Food was far under par. Very bland. Not impressed. Will not be stopping there again.

Locally owned and operated. Mexican food served every Wednesday & Sunday. Closed 2-5 Monday - Friday. Good sized portions and tasty food.

Worst place I’ve ever been. Steak was not not made from steak meat, salmon was just warmed in the microwave, no spices no salt. Awful. Look at this chicken fried steak)))

Got there at closing time but waitress good and the food was good. We were just rushed to not give 5 stars.

T-bone was very good and so was the bacon cheeseburger. Their hot sauce is really good.

Heat little local joint in Clayton tx. You can tell that this is truly where the locals go for lunch. We were just driving through and it was nice that we were able to get our food "to-go". Very generous portions. So if you're passing through and you're hungry...stop in. This is not a fast food place...So it was nice to be able to stretch out legs for about 20-+ min while the food was being prepared.

The owner was nice and I like her and her husband. They have an Amazing Grilled Shrimp and Wild Rice, it’s my favorite.!!!

The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. Their daily special was quite tasty! If you're in town I recommend eating here.

Just in town overnight and was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful home cooked meal. I had the pork chop and would highly recommend it.

Had the Chili Relleno. Flavor was good but was cold and chips were burned. Couldn't get waitress's attention due to after church crowd. Since I am traveling, ate it and moved on. Not too pleasant an experience, for Mexican food anyway. Asked for a cup of ice to go. She charged me an extra dollar. Could have gotten a 5 lb bag at the grocery for $1.50!

Food and service are excellent

Cozy little restuarant. Nice folks providing quick service. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the pork chops where flavorful. They also serve calf fries.

I can't speak to the steaks but I can speak to the Mexican menu. They serve some of the best tamales I've ever had. My wife agrees with that assessment as well. Service was good but they weren't very friendly. That didn't mean the service was bad, just not over the top. Food quality was excellent. Green chili was amazing! Just enough spice to make it enjoyable but not a tongue burner! Great spot for food on Wed and Sunday.

We stopped in while passing through on a Sunday. We both had the tamale plate. These were some of the best tamales I've ever had! Green chili sauce was excellent as well. Even the beans and rice were seasoned well. Service was quick as well. Overall a great dining experience. We will be returning!
